Eyelase Q&A

What is EyeLase?

EyeLase is an innovative treatment that uses the energy of two lasers with distinct settings and modes to give you highly customized results without fillers or excessive downtime.

This approach stimulates your body’s collagen production and contraction around the eyes.  Because it uses your body’s systems to promote vitality, you can get beautiful, natural-looking results without needles or bruising.

Am I a good candidate for EyeLase?

EyeLase may be a good choice for you if you struggle with:

  • Crepey skin around the eyes
  • Upper and lower eyelid skin laxity
  • Deep dark circles under the eyes
  • Scarring or hyperpigmentation

This minimally invasive treatment is ideal for men or women who want to address wrinkling or bagginess under their eyes, which can make anyone look discouraged and run down.

What can I expect during and after my EyeLase treatment?

You start with a consultation, which allows the MD Aesthetics team to carefully examine the area around your eyes and learn more about your concerns and desired results. If EyeLase is the best choice, you can proceed with your appointment.

Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure for 1-2 weeks before treatment. For your comfort, the team uses a topical anesthetic on the treatment area before applying the laser energy. You wear protective coverings on your eyes and likely feel short zaps, similar to the flick of an elastic band, and some warmth.

You can expect your session to last 30 minutes or less, with minimal downtime — you can carry on with your work day or meet other commitments. Some redness around your eyes is normal and should fade within an hour or two.

The team personalizes your EyeLase treatment plan to serve you best and meet your goals, which includes how many sessions you need (and at what intervals) to give you the most beautiful results. Generally, you can expect 3-4 rounds of EyeLase conducted at 4-6 week intervals to optimize your results, which last 6-12 months.
